Is it really worth it
As the cold outside
Leaves my soul naked
I've been looking for shelter
A secret hide away
To cover up the failures
Of yet another long harsh day
I forget the warmth I had
While standing beside you
And how lifting our burdons together
The strength of the world was undone
But you stopped the uphill climb
Expecting me to drag you with me
And hit me after I had fallen
Now you come to me wondering "Oh God, what have I done?"
I've tried so hard to break free of you
Can't you see this fight inside of me?
This is a battle that can not be tackled
Both of us will never escape it knowing
That we'll never know if it was right or wrong
And these dreams I still search after
Are haunted by your unfulfilled promise
All I can do is pray that peace will rescue me
