Confection Compulsion submitted 2009.03.06 04:03 AM by TallestTak viewed 194 times

Stop, please stop!
This rainbow onslaught will not leave my tongue alone.
Pieces of red and yellow flavored bliss
shower my tongue relentlessly,
and I feel my mind losing control of my hand.
Stop! screams my brain.
Never! screams my hand.
Acid churns in my stomach,
my extremities twitch spasmodically,
and my brain leaps from side to side in my skull.
It's almost midnight! Now is not the time for a sugar rush!
Again, my brain's desire is subordinated
by the spring-loaded action of my feeder hand.
Then, all at once, my body takes up alliance with my feeble brain
and the acid in my belly simply becomes too much.
A river of fruit flavor rockets up my innards.
The wall to my left is plastered by Skittle barf.
That'll teach you to contradict me, smirks my cheeky brain.
My hand, green with chagrin and the sticky residue of the candy,
hangs limply by my side, ashamed of its volition.
If only my body could settle on a compromise before the spew flies forth from my receiving mouth.
